EVENING BLUE is created on repurposed metal by Morgan Fisher. It is mixed media of oil sticks with special layers of gloss coating applied to the metal.

These original oil stick paintings were all created 'freehand'; the oil sticks were applied directly with hands/fingers. No brushes nor tools/instruments are used to apply the medium. They are meant to be vibrant, expressive images- not precise nor realistic. EVENING BLU is about color and visual ambience of Lake Michigan, oceans, seas, depending on the light, weather, location or time of day. There is atmospheric element to this style of my painting- from a sense of light, space, air- all giving a sense of special ambience, which one experiences on lakes, oceans, seas.
The glazing and medium coating with light reflection, makes it difficult for the non professional camera to capture the opacity and diversity of the oil colors of this original painting.
Colors vary, depending upon the light and reflections directly hitting the art. EVENING BLUE is rustic, heavy and metal, painted with oil sticks and coated with an acrylic medium giving it a shine and popping the color. Industrial feel. Galvanized chain hanging system. Heavy steel piece (approx. 16 lbs) : hang with caution to ensure safety of self and piece (ie) put nail or hanger on a stud or in wood.
