Description
These original oil stick paintings were all created 'freehand'; the oil sticks were applied directly with hands/fingers. No brushes nor tools/instruments are used to apply the medium. They are meant to be vibrant, expressive images- not precise nor realistic. BIG BLU is about color and visual ambience of Lake Michigan, depending on the light, weather, location or time of day. There is atmospheric element to this style of my painting- from a sense of light, space, air- giving a sense of special ambience, which one experiences on lakes and oceans.
The glazing makes it difficult for the photos and video to capture the opacity and unique color from the oil sticks of this original painting.
